The Florida Unit Study is a fourteen-week unit study that may be used for K-6th grade students. Included are many subjects, projects, field trip ideas, resource lists, a word section, book lists, research ideas, state symbols, a Florida time line, maps, a material check list and daily lesson plans. The only 2 resources that are absolutely necessary are this book, and the workbook, The Big Florida Reproducible Activity Book (Item #10-94589).
Easy to use, administer, and follow. You'll appreciate studying the state without a big textbook!
Author Kim Sutter, is a home schooling mother of 2 girls. She and her husband, Kendall, live in Central Florida where Kim once served as the administrative assistant for their church’s home school organization. She also served families of their church by producing a home school newsletter. Kim enjoys teaching organizational and unit study classes for Moms, (sign me up for that first one!) and has self-published several fill-in-the-blank books for younger children. We know you’ll appreciate her approach to unit studies. She knows and understands the home schooler today and has helped make the unit study a more approachable task.
