(your student will be required to take a timed test at the end of this section)

called Spreadsheet Basics, Spreadsheet
Formulas, and Spreadsheet
Applications (the four projects in this third section include a personal
budget, estimating income taxes, business spreadsheets, balance and

called Database Basics and Database Features (working with queries, importing and exporting
data, creating business reports). This
unit also includes a semester review and a semester exam.
Unit 6 – Telecommunications Technology that
includes 3 sections called The Telecommunications
Industry, Using and Choosing
Telecommunications Technology from email -- and beyond, Doing
It Right (email ethics, work habits, netiquette, etc).
Unit 7 – Desktop
Publishing Technology that includes 3 sections called Desktop Publishing, an Introduction,
Desktop Publishing Procedures, (design planning and
considerations) and Using Desktop Publishing
(your student will complete an instruction manual as a final project).
Unit 8 – Presentation
Technology that includes 3 sections called An Introduction to Presentation Technology, Presentation Guidelines (working with text, graphs, and special
effects) and Presentation Planning. In
this last section your student will create a presentation.
Unit 9 – Computer Networks that includes 3
sections called An Introduction to
Networking, Networking Basics, and Choosing a Network.
Unit 10 - Computer Operation Systems that include 3 sections called An Introduction to Operation Systems, Types
of Operation Systems (Mac, Windows, Linux), and Using the Operation Systems
This last unit will wrap up with a project to customize your
Desktop. It also includes a semester
